1. Keep a steady vision of "One World Many Faith"
|
A vision of peaceful
relationships between the great religions of the world is
necessary for patient persistence. This is a matter of
personal decision and community encouragement. |
|
2. Continue sharing accurate information.
|
The discipline of accuracy
has no substitute. Repetition of false information,
however well intentioned, is tragic. Developing reliable
information is a matter of hard work and devoted interest. |
|
3. Help persons move beyond stereotypes of religions.
|
The images that come to mind
regarding religions other than ones own are often based on
singular experiences, group defensiveness, or media influence.
Give the gift of honesty and clarity. |
|
4. Face up to the hard issues between religions
|
It does little good to
pretend that differences are unimportant. The points of belief
and practice that separate one religion from another are best
handled in the open. We honor each other in respectful
disagreement.
